A midtown based investment bank is seeking a software developer to develop and support a risk-management system that can be deployed in trader spreadsheets, in an investment bank. The system orchestrates the combining of market and trade data, market scenarios, and derivatives pricing models using a spreadsheet as a user interface. The candidate will work closely with other groups that deploy systems for serving market data and trade data as well as risk system and analytics developers, traders, and quantitative analysts. Key elements of the job are modifying existing framework to incorporate new facilities and facilitating the rollout of this system to additional trading books, working toward expanding the functional capabilities of the system as well as continually improving its performance. Fluency in objected-oriented programming language: C++ in MS-Windows environment, C is a bonus. MS-Windows API (COM) Working knowledge of Excel including VBA and add-ins. Working knowledge of financial derivatives instruments. Working knowledge of financial trading systems. Master’s degree or Bachelors Degree + 4 years of experience First Degree to be in Technology are (Computer Science preferable) or Mathematical or Financial with technical experience.
